Types of Booth in Exhibition

TYPES OF BOOTHS IN AN EXHIBITION

For a brand, to make most of the participation in a trade show, many aspects need to be taken into consideration. Out of them, one of the crucial ones is selecting a good stall from the layout of the venue. This selection should be done after taking into consideration factors like objective of the participation and the budget. But before that, understanding different types of booths/stalls is of utmost importance. Some of these types are elaborated here:

Linear Booth:

A Linear Booth is one that is covered on three sides; by a wall at the back and neighbouring stalls on either sides. This leaves the front open to engage with the visitors. These, most of the times, are the least expensive ones at the exhibition. However, smart and creative ways can be employed to optimise on the limitations posed by the layout. Professional stall designers and fabricators often have many ways to do that and to ensure that the vendors/participants do not suffer.

Perimeter Booth:

These are similar to linear booths, the only difference being that they are aligned along the outer wall of the main venue.

Island Booth:

An Island Booth, as the name suggest, is one that is open from all sides. These are usually the most sought after stalls in an exhibition owing to the fact that they garner most attention, and thus are the most expensive ones. These booths also give a free reign to the stall designer who can easily manipulate the design to suit the vendor’s/participant’s need.

Peninsula Booth:

These are booths that are open on three sides and closed from one. After the island stall, these are the most popular ones and help easy movement of traffic. These are thus particularly great for participations where higher footfall is expected.

Corner Booth:

These are booths that are positioned along the end of the rows of booths and are open from two sides. These also garner a lot of visibility and are a favourite with many stall designers.

Understanding the layout of the exhibition venue and the types of stalls is crucial as, more often than not, the participants book a booth before hiring a stall designer and fabricator. Understanding the benefits and the imitations of these stalls therefore helps in making a wise choice.
